as the 15th came around, i knew the "subject" of the verse God was calling me to hide in my heart...it took me a little while to find it.  for the last part of january, i will be meditating on the following verse:

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!

If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand

When I awake, I am still with You.

Psalm 139:17-18

this verse is not new to me; infact, i've read it over many times.  but, sometimes it is difficult for me to truly believe that God, the One who created every living thing, thinks of me.  He thinks of me more than i can imagine.  and He is not thinking "why did i create her?" or "i wasted my time on her."  no, God has thoughts about me like: she is a lovely child with a beautiful heart; that girl (actually, He does know my name) is more precious to me than she knows."  now, i'm not in God's head, so i don't know if those are His exact words, but it's what the Bible says He thinks about me.
 
and, you know what's even cooler than that...God thinks the same thing about YOU!  whether you know it or believe it or not, you are on His mind; He loves you more than you can imagine. 
 
because i need this reminder more often than not, i will be memorizing these two verses.  i will probably be saying this every time, but God has already used the words in these two verses to teach me.  even through this blog entry, which has turned out completely different than what i anticipated, God is teaching me, refining me.
